I seem to remember the first one being harder than the second one. Our average first midterm was 75% (σ 17) and second midterm was 72% (σ 16). The final was a little easier, the average was 81%.
WebHmm I don't think the quality of students has changed much. The older I get the more I realize how the pareto principle applies to everything, and most acceptance criteria is fairly arbitrary.
