The main appeal is a dedicated Scout Hunter and a little more challenge using it for the role, as well as adding a ship to the fleet with a clear and defined purpose. WebJun 7, 2015 · A Lakon T6 fitted like this goes from ~1 million to ~ 3 million - 3 times the base cost for a lot of cargo and good jump range. The Diamondback Explorer goes from base cost of 1.9 million to ~ 8 million - roughly 4 times base cost. The ASP goes from a base cost of 6.7 million to ~ 13 million - slightly less than 2 times the base cost!
WebJun 13, 2015 · Enough cargo space for missions - perfect. Wonderful jump range with weapons and cargo. To bad those weapons can't be used against anything than other DBX. Most other ships simply out turn the DBX and the rest simply out guns it. The DBX reminds me of the T-9 in combat. I currently own a DB Explorer and think it is in the sweet spot as a cheap multipurpose : it has a huge jump range, 4 utility slots to allow versatility, decent maneuverability, and hardpoints that allow it to fend off pretty much all the ships up to Asp. The only thing that is really meh is the internals. WebSo I have around 560,000 credits currently, and I want to upgrade from my current Sidewinder to a new ship. I'm presented with the Adder for around 87,000 credits and the Diamondback Scout for 564,000 . Now, my playstyle is mainly combat focused. No trading and no cargo deliveries.
WebDiamond Back Explorer and ASP Explorer (as mentioned in several comments already) are a far better choice for exploration due to their options. 57thStIncident • As others noted, its limited number of slots (only 4) is a handicap, you end up having to make do with less gear. Same issue with the Hauler.
