WebHedonic value is an end in and of itself, and utilitarian value is a means to and end. What is a hedonic good? 1. These are goods which are desirable and yield satisfaction or a sense of happiness to the consumer but cannot be termed as necessities. The social and emotional value of these goods exceeds the utilitarian value. What is hedonic affect? WebHedonic aspect includes painful and unpleasant feelings as well as pleasant. Utilitarian aspect includes judgements about foolishness and irrationality as well as wiseness and rationality. I want to emphasize that I am talking about a past, present, or anticipated state, not about a process.
