Seamus Heaney was one of the many poets to explore these blacker than black landscapes not for combustible fuel, but for artistic fire. Being from Roscommon, the bog was an annual hellish ritual. WebHuldre Fen Woman was found in a peat bog in Jutland, Denmark, in 1879 and is one of the best preserved and well-dressed bog bodies ever found.
